IW #3 Mothman!

The Mothman of Pleasant Point, West Virginia.
I kind of adopted your glowing eyes trick, Dust.  Also, I like your Mignolian (just made that word) signature.

Happy Halloween! (Or, Illustration Weekly #3)

So I've had a little bit of time to play around with the old Wacom tablet. Here's my poor attempt at Mignola (still tryin to get outta MSN paint!). It's a Wendigo, a creature that really freaks me right out. And I've been reading more Lovecraft, which probably explains this second one. Anyways, have a very scary Halloween!

Hidee-Ho!

Sorry It's been a little while, But I've been knee deep in this math class that's kicking my butt. Hope you all are doing well. Here's a recent picture of My Grandma Baird on vacation with Hugh Heffner. Hope this makes your day.

Illustration Weekly #2

Portrait of singer/songwriter Emily Haines.
I'm just going to keep doing these illustrations. Dusty, you can jump in any time.
I spent a lot more time on this one.  She still kinda looks like a character from the Dark Crystal.
I feel like I am getting better control of the tablet now.

Illustration Weekly #1

we'll think of a better project title later?
Here's my two-tone album cover.
I'm not very good at drawing with these wacom tablets. It's tough.
Clearlake "Almost the Same"
 And the original...
I tried to keep it loose.  No need to spend to much time on these, eh?

Happy Birthday Ryan

Happy Birthday on Monday, Ryan. I wanted to get you a Laser Jacket, but my attempts to make one have been both uninspiring and painfully disastrous, so you'll have to settle for dinner at our house at some future date. I think you should still try and get one of these though, as it seems like it's specifically built to blast you to the forefront of the local music and social scene.

Here's a Proposal.

This book is the greatest thing to come along in my life since....I don't know, a long time ago.  I love it with a very true love.  I want to cuddle it in my sleep like I used to do with my favorite toys when I was little.

"Sum will expand your universe with delight and possibility, showing in the process what a mysterious and profound thing the human imagination can be."   -Mary Postgate

It's a collection of 40 very short meditations on the afterlife that are so creative and refreshing and thought-provoking I can hardly believe it's real. I thought the stories would make a good base for discussions here.  Wanna read the book?! Huh?  Huh?!
